NFL Week 7
The first games are in the books, highlighted by the Jets nearly pulling off the upset in Foxborough. Instead, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski had the last laugh, scoring an uncontested touchdown to supply the ultimate final margin.
The Redskins fared better with their fourth-quarter comeback, as Kirk Cousins directed the game-winning drive to beat Tampa Bay and rookie QB Jameis Winston. Cousins was a little fired up after the game.
Elsewhere around the league, Lamar Miller and the Dolphins positively torched the Texans with 41 first-half points to cruise to a win in a game that appears to have also cost Houston Arian Foster. Foster hobbled off the field after sustaining a non-contact injury in the late fourth quarter, reportedly suffering a torn Achilles tendon. Why was he still in the game? That’s a question we’re likely to hear a bit in the hours ahead.
