Emmy nominations announced

Emmy nominations are announced Thursday morning around 8:30 a.m. — this year, Kate Mara of “House of Cards” and Aaron Paul of “Breaking Bad” will be up bright and early to read this year’s crop of nominees.

(UPDATE: For the second year in a row, plans have gone awry for an Emmy nominee announcer. Per the TV academy early Thursday: “Kate Mara is unable to join us this morning. She is on location in Santa Fe and late last night her flight had a mechanical malfunction and was unable to take off. She sends her sincerest regrets.”)
