‘An Evening with Mark Turgeon and Brenda Frese’

Maryland basketball coaches Mark Turgeon and Brenda Frese will both appear at an event hosted by the Babe Ruth Birthplace Foundation at Michael’s Eighth Avenue in Glen Burnie on Oct. 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., the foundation announced.

Tickets to the event, dubbed “An Evening with Mark Turgeon and Brenda Frese,” are $45.00 for an individual or $40 each for a 10-person table. Interested parties can e-mail WhitneyE@BabeRuthMuseum.com or call 410-727-1539, according to a press release.

Just days before Maryland Madness kicks off at 7 p.m. on Oct. 12, there will be a meet-and-greet with the two Terps coaches, “a very special door prize” — which I can only assume is a dinner with Alex Len at Boston Market — and a menu including pit beef and ham, fried chicken, hot dogs and burgers. The coaches are scheduled to “discuss Terps’ upcoming season, new recruits and experiences at Maryland.”
