Four Wake Forest starters, plus a running back who leads the team in rushing touchdowns and is second on the team in rushing yards, have been suspended for Saturday’s game at Maryland, the school has confirmed to The Post.

Cornerback Merrill Noel, free safety Daniel Mack, middle linebacker Mike Olson and right guard Frank Souza — all starters — will miss the game because they violated team rules, along with second-string running back Deandre Martin, who is averaging 55.8 rushing yards per game (second on the team) and has rushed for a team-best five touchdowns. Olson is the team’s leading tackler.

Wide receiver Airyn Willis, who is not listed on the Demon Deacons’ two-deep, also was suspended.

Wake Forest already was going to be missing wide receiver Michael Campanaro, the 2008 All-Met offensive player of the year who broke the back of his right hand against Duke last weekend. The Demon Deacons’ leading receiver has 38 catches for 429 yards and three touchdowns this season.
