Aching for some baseball before Maryland’s Homecoming football game against North Carolina State on Saturday? The Terps have you covered.

Maryland’s Fall World Series, a best-of-three series, kicks off at 9:30 a.m. at Bob “Turtle” Smith Stadium. Game Two is Sunday at 4:15 p.m., while the “if necessary” Game Three will be on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.

Senior Jimmy Reed, an MLB prospect who led the team with a 2.70 ERA in 2012, will oppose sophomore Zach Morris in the opening slate. Games are free and open to the public. It will be a full day of Terps action across the board. The basketball team is hosting an open scrimmage at 1:30 p.m. before the 3:30 kickoff at Byrd Stadium.
