Depth chart changes for Maryland football vs. Clemson

Some quick depth chart changes for Saturday’s game at No. 10 Clemson:

>> Bennett Fulper is listed as a co-starter at left guard alongside Josh Cary. Coach Randy Edsall hinted that the senior would likely receive more playing time as he returns to full strength from a turf toe ailment. This move bumped Peter White off the two-deep.

>> It appears that Brandon Ross has solidified himself as Maryland’s No. 2 running back, given that the “or” is no longer listed next to his name, indicating that he was a co-backup. Instead, Justus Pickett and Albert Reid are the co-third-string running backs behind Wes Brown, who is still the starter even after suffering what he called a “minor” ankle injury against Georgia Tech. Ross came on strong against the Yellow Jackets in Brown’s stead.

>> As expected, L.A. Goree will take over as a starting inside linebacker in place of Demetrius Hartsfield, who suffered a season-ending ACL tear Saturday and will miss the rest of the season. Sophomore Alex Twine will back him up, while Bradley Johnson, Hartsfield’s backup, moved to back up Cole Farrand at the other inside linebacker position.

>> Eric Franklin and Matt Robinson are listed as co-starters at safety, indicating that Robinson will be healthy enough to return this week after missing the Georgia Tech game.
