National Signing Day 2013: Big day for Maryland football

The faxes are in, and the Maryland football team has to be feeling good about its recruiting class. Coach Randy Edsall and Co. snagged commitments from all three of the players were undecided heading into National Signing Day:

It’s Maryland for Jacquille Veii (Brandon Parker/The Washington Post)

Avalon’s Jacquille Veii spurned a late push by Nebraska to stick with Maryland.

Suitland All-Met wide receiver Taivon Jacobs switched his allegiance from Ohio State to Maryland. See video below:

Friendship Collegiate DE-LB Yannick Ngakoue picked Maryland over South Carolina and Florida State.

Plus, Derwin Gray picked Maryland, too. The composite recruiting rankings now have Maryland’s class at No. 34 in the country.

Has the local recruiting landscape tipped in Maryland’s favor?

We’ll have more to come later Wednesday afternoon. Edsall speaks to reporters at 3 p.m. and then has a Google+ Hangout at 4. But for now, the floor is yours.
