>> Jacobs shocked a number of people when he flipped his commitment at the last second from Ohio State to Maryland. Jacobs had orally committed to the Buckeyes last July, but had been reconsidering his decision due to a variety of factors, per colleague Eric Detweiler, including his one-year-old daughter, Bailey.

>> Jacobs’s brother, Levern, is a wide receiver for Maryland. His commitment gives the Terps two sets of brothers, alongside Brandon and Jarrett Ross.

>> As a senior for Suitland, Jacobs had 1,065 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns, earning first-team All-Met honors from the Post in both 2011 and 2012.

>> Jacobs also runs track, and was a member of the USA Junior Olympic Track & Field Team, and hopes to run for the Terps after the athletics department reinstated the men’s program.
