Maryland football announces spring practice schedule

Backing up his intended efforts to hold the Maryland football team’s spring practices throughout the region, Coach Randy Edsall has scheduled two workouts, both free and open to the public, at local high schools.

The Terrapins kick off spring practice on March 2 at 10:35 a.m. at Byrd Stadium, but won’t be available for public viewing until March 30, when Maryland practices at noon at Dunbar High School in Baltimore. One week later, the Terps will hold another noon practice at Middletown High School.

Maryland will close out its spring with the annual Spring Game, scheduled for 7 p.m. at Byrd Stadium. Reporters get a few more chances to view the Terps in Edsall’s third season, with nine open practices in addition to the Spring Game and senior pro day on March 13.
