Logan Aronhalt announced to all-ACC academic team

Graduate student Logan Aronhalt was the lone Maryland player announced to the all-ACC academic team. According to the release, eligible athletes must have a 3.0 grade-point average for the past semester and a 3.0 overall GPA throughout college.

As Patrick Stevens points out, this is somewhat of a rarity around the Terps program.

Duke had four representatives, including three-time selections Ryan Kelly and Mason Plumlee. Eight of the 14 honorees are freshmen.

Aronhalt struggled Wednesday against North Carolina, going 0 for 5 on three-pointers. He’s still shooting 45.5 percent from beyond the arc this season, though since erupting against Boston College for 26 points on 7-of-12 shooting, he’s 4 for 15 over the next four games in limited minutes.

One more time, here’s the UNC advance story on Aronhalt and his journey to Maryland.
