No major depth-chart changes entering Week 3 for Terps

The Maryland football team enters its third week undefeated and with relative stability across the board. The latest two-deep depth chart reveals no major changes, save two expected additions from key backups returning from injury and the loss of one starter sidelined until November.

Both cornerback Alvin Hill and safety Zach Dancel return to the depth chart one week after making their season debuts. Both missed the opener against Florida International with various ailments, but returned against Old Dominion in backup capacities. Hill, in light of cornerback Jeremiah Johnson’s fractured toe, becomes the fourth cornerback behind Dexter McDougle, new starter Isaac Goins and freshman Will Likely.

Defensive end Andre Monroe assumed control of the backup spot, after entering last weekend as a co-backup with Alex Walker. Monroe’s two tackles against the Monarchs were both sacks.

Nothing changed on the offense. The injury report, for the third straight week, listed just three players lost for the season: Milan Collins (ankle), JaJuan Dulaney (knee) and Ty Tucker (knee). Until ACC play begins on Oct. 5, the injury report will continue to contain only players out for the year.
