Mark Turgeon and Larry Brown playing cards a long time ago

Now I’m not sure how to confirm exactly when this grainy picture was taken, but that is definitely Mark Turgeon looking all boyish and that is definitely Larry Brown keeping things close to the vest and they are definitely playing cards and this is definitely awesome.

If this is indeed from 1985, then Turgeon was still a basketball player at Kansas, a backup point guard on the 1985-86 team that reached the Final Four. He later became a two-time captain for Brown and was an assistant coach for the Jayhawks for five seasons.

UPDATE: Turgeon says it was taken at The Wheel, a local establishment in Lawrence, during a freshman year lunch with Brown. “Good old days,” he texted.
