No. 8 Maryland women to take on Ohio State

Data: Maryland will be playing its final game in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge as a member of the ACC. The Terrapins are joining the Big Ten next season. They are the only team in either conference that remains undefeated (6-0) in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge since its inception in 2007.

Senior F Alyssa Thomas leads the Terrapins with 16 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game. The reigning two-time ACC player of the year also is shooting 53 percent from the field and 84 percent from the foul line. Freshman G Shatori Walker-Kimbrough is averaging 10.3 points and shooting at team-best 56.4 percent among players averaging at least 20 minutes per game.

The Terrapins are coming off two wins at the San Juan Shootout in Puerto Rico, beating Texas Southern, 100-59, and Ohio, 84-60. Maryland is 2-2 all-time vs. the Buckeyes (6-3) and won the last meeting, 77-53, Nov. 30, 2007, in the inaugural Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
