SCOUTING REPORT

>> The second straight Pennsylvania defensive player to commit to Maryland in as many days this June — defensive lineman Brett Kulka was the first — Burke chose Maryland over Rutgers, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Temple, according to Philly.com.

“I always kept my options open, but I just kind of knew that’s where I wanted to be,” he told the site after committing. “This was my fourth time visiting the school. Everything felt right.

>> Burke played defensive end at Coatesville but projects to the linebacker position for Maryland. His recruitment was handled by tight ends coach/recruiting coordinator John Dunn.
