When the Maryland football team played its spring game last month, the old Atlantic Coast Conference logo was fading from the turf at Byrd Stadium, and no one had bothered to touch it up. The conference switch to the Big Ten was fast approaching. Gossett Team House had already been outfitted with the new league’s blue emblem, posted in the hallways and above the staircase descending towards the locker room. So it was only a matter of time before the ACC logo left the field to stay.

Turns out, that day has arrived. Or arrived recently. Or something.

That photo, and the ones below, come from Travis Manger, a graduate assistant with the Terrapins. The old ACC logo was located somewhere near the other 25-yard line, on the opposite side of the field.
