After Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) jokingly called Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) "Mr. Secretary" at a news conference this week, Kerry lobbed a zinger right back, responding, "Thank you very much, Mr. President."

Comedy Central's Jon Stewart took stock of the situation on his Wednesday night program.

"McCain teased you about the job you might get. You hit him with the failure of his life," Stewart said.
