WHAT YOU MIGHT HAVE MISSED:
AP Twitter account hacked: The Associated Press said its Twitter account was hacked and a tweet that read “Breaking: Two Explosions in the White House and Barack Obama is injured" was bogus. The White House confirmed the president was fine. The untrue news sent stocks into a momentary nosedive.
Ricin suspect release on bond: The man who was charged with sending ricin-laced letters to the White House, Sen. Roger Wicker (R-Miss.) and a judge was released on bond, while the FBI may have turned its attention to another man in connection with the letters. AP reported that the charges were dropped against the man.
2016 preview in Lone Star State? A pair of potential 2016 presidential candidates are scheduled to give speeches in the Dallas area Wednesday. Former governor Jeb Bush and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton will speak at different events. Both will be in the area for the dedication of the George W. Bush's Presidential Center.
Christie will be there too: Speaking of the Bush Presidential Center, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) will attend the opening, too. He joins a high-profile guest list that includes Presidents Obama, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, among others.
2012 reunion: Former Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod will appear at a June retreat Mitt Romney will host. Axelrod says he and his wife will discuss epilepsy research, not politics. Christie will also attend.
Reynolds wrap: Iowa Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds (R) will not run for the Senate in 2014. She had said she was open to running if Rep. Steve King (R) didn't. King hasn't publicly said what his plans are yet. A Reynolds aide said she has no advance knowledge of his intentions.
Kerry gave big to DSCC: Secretary of State John Kerry sent $100,000 worth of surplus campaign funds to Senate Democrats' campaign arm last month. It was a perfectly legal transfer of funds and also the largest contribution the DSCC received in March.
Looking for an Angle? Will failed 2010 Republican nominee Sharron Angle of Nevada ever run for the Senate again? "It’s a possibility," she told a local paper.
