The news that just 10 percent of Americans approve of how Congress is handling its job reminded us of one of our favorite charts -- ever.

Colorado Democratic Sen. Michael Bennet put the chart out back in the fall of 2011 to illustrate how Congress' approval ratings fit in with some of the least popular things in history.

Here it is.

At 10 percent, Congress is currently less popular than the United States adopting communism, Paris Hilton and BP in the midst of the massive oil spill in the Gulf.  The IRS numbers aren't anywhere near where they were in 2009 but they still aren't anywhere near as bad as Congress'. Oh well, Congress will always-ish have Castro and Chavez to kick around.
