This is how the Connecticut governor reacted to UCONN’s national championship

The UCONN men's basketball team won the national championship on Monday night, a decidedly improbable run to the top of the heap for a team that didn't even win its conference. And Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy (D) was right there cheering them on -- and tweeting.

And, Malloy was at the airport Tuesday greeting the Huskies when they returned back to the Nutmeg State.

Malloy had reason to smile. As part of a bet with Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear, he will get a "Kentucky bourbon basket created from a half-barrel from Maker’s Mark and it will include Woodford Reserve, Maker’s Mark, Wild Turkey, Jim Beam, Bulleit Bourbon, Four Roses, Evan Williams, Elijah Craig, Town Branch, Willett, Old Pogue, Michter’s and Corsair Bourbon.  The barrel also will include barware, glasses, apparel and accessories to conduct a priceless bourbon tasting," according to the local NBC affiliate.

Tonight Malloy does it all over again as the UCONN women's hoops team face off with Notre Dame in a national title game featuring two undefeated teams. And, yes, he has a wager with Indiana Gov. Mike Pence (R) over the game.

"Agricultural products"? I'll take the "fully-stocked Kentucky bourbon bar."

A victory in New Hampshire revitalized Hillary Clinton's demoralized campaign in 2008. But this time, she's trailing Bernie Sanders, from neighboring Vermont. She's planning to head Sunday to Flint, Mich., where a cost-saving decision led to poisonous levels of lead in the water of the poor, heavily black, rust-belt city.
