Rand Paul leaves the scene as DREAMers confront Steve King

As they have done with several Republican politicians, some DREAMers confronted Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) at an event in Iowa this week.

Actually, they introduced themselves to both King and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who was sitting down for a meal at the same table. Paul shook their hand and began eating his hamburger, but as the DREAMers made clear what they had come to talk about, he stood up from the table and walked away.

The exchange is a window into the sensitive politics of immigration for Republicans. King insists his position on immigration -- which is one of the most hard-line in the House -- is being misrepresented. House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) has also been confronted by DREAMers on-tape.

But the buzziest moment was Paul's hasty exit.
