On Wednesday night, "The Daily Show" focused its incredulity on the reaction by some, especially at Fox News, to the protests in New York City, Ferguson, Mo., and Cleveland responding to the deaths of Eric Garner, Michael Brown and Tamir Rice, respectively.

Some complained that blocking traffic was an act of violence. Jon Stewart replied: What about the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade? Others complained that the protests could ruin Christmas shopping. In Cleveland, the police union said athletes should stick to football instead of wearing "Justice for Tamir Rice" shirts. The athlete in question, Cleveland Browns receiver Andrew Hawkins, had an eloquent response, with which "The Daily Show" ended its segment.
