Writer Maia Weinstock recently posted photos online of custom LEGO figurines of the four female Supreme Court Justices. She said he hoped the figurines would celebrate women's accomplishments in our legal system and "encourage women to work toward high positions in the U.S. judicial system." Unfortunately, we won't be seeing Lego Sandra Day O'Connor, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sonia Sotomayor, or Elena Kagan in stores. Weinstock said she already submitted her designs to the company, who, inexplicably, rejected them because they have guidelines against making any political figurines.
Someone should fill LEGO in on the whole separation of powers thing.
