Millenials everywhere who are devastated about One Direction going from five members to four: Take heart, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh is there for you.

Walsh (D) said despite devastation about Zayn Malik leaving One Direction Wednesday, "we must solider on."

His comments came during a Twitter Q&A where he was also asked about street cleaning (it will begin in two weeks), the referendum on whether Boston will bid to host the 2024 Olympics (he supports it), and potholes (they've filled in almost 5,000 this year already). But obviously, his answer about Zayn got the most attention.

Caroline Holland, who asked him the question, of course now wants Walsh to run for president.

One Direction is scheduled to play in Massachusetts in September. The group said in a statement it would continue its tour with the four remaining members.
