A candidate fainted during a Philadelphia mayoral debate Tuesday, but she quickly regained consciousness.

"I believe I had just a sudden drop in blood pressure," Lynne Abraham (D), a former district attorney, said at a news conference after the debate. "These things sometimes happen. It never happened before and it just happened at an inopportune time, I regret to say. It's a little bit embarrassing."

Her campaign tweeted photos of her Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning showing she was fine and back to speaking with the press and attending campaign events.

Philadelphia's primary will be held May 19.
