John Oliver goes after mandatory minimum sentences (Video)

John Oliver's latest political target: Mandatory minimum sentences.

On Sunday, Oliver spent the bulk of his show on the topic, noting that President Obama had just commuted the sentences of many prisoners who faced mandatory minimum sentences for their crimes. Oliver argued that the practice leads to over-incarceration IN prisons, where 2 million Americans currently reside.

He even found a way to tie it all to Hugh Jackman.
