Presidential debates are tailor-made for "Saturday Night Live." Candidates are forced to talk for more than two hours -- i.e. lots of content -- answering tough questions and sometimes offering ridiculous and/or canned responses.
And when it comes to the first Democratic debate, SNL's replay to open the show Saturday night was pretty great. You've got a clueless Lincoln Chafee (of course), a completely nondescript Martin O'Malley (of course), Kate McKinnon's always over-the-top Hillary Clinton and even Alec Baldwin playing Jim Webb.
And then there was Larry David's turn as Bernie Sanders, which would be great to see every weekend from now through the Democratic primaries.
