Donald Trump – who has always been an unfiltered candidate – said he loves "the poorly educated" during his Nevada caucus victory speech on Feb. 24. (Peter Stevenson/The Washington Post)

An ebullient Donald Trump declared Tuesday night after his victory in the Nevada caucuses that he loved "the poorly educated."

It was, to say the least, an odd way of phrasing it. Journalists at The Fix and elsewhere have been getting guff for months for pointing out that Trump's base of support leans heavily on those who don't have college degrees and are less formally educated. Some see it as dismissive to call these folks even "less-educated."

Well, Trump himself basically negated that criticism on Tuesday night, using the even more-negative-sounding "poorly educated" to describe this demographic of his support.

Anyway, late night had some fun Wednesday with his turn of phrase. Jimmy Kimmel even put together an ad from the poorly educated people of America in support of Trump.

It's pretty good, and it's below.
