Not since Richard Nixon and Elvis Presley met at the White House has there been a photo-op like the one that took place between President-elect Donald Trump and rapper/noted millennial Kanye West Tuesday morning at Trump Tower.

Here's the moment, captured for the history books:

And here it is in GIF form (God Bless Peter Stevenson for this one):

And then there's this -- from Mark Landler's pool report of the moment:

The two continued to pose -- Mr. Trump smiling and Kanye glowering, his arms crossed -- while the reporters bombarded them with questions.
At 9:53, PEOTUS and Kanye West emerged from the elevators and posed awkwardly before the scrum of cameras and reporters.
Asked the purpose of their meeting, Mr. Trump said, "Just friends, just friends. He's a good man. Long time. Friends for a long time."
The two continued to pose -- Mr. Trump smiling and Kanye glowering, his arms crossed -- while the reporters bombarded them with questions.
Finally, when asked what they had discussed, PEOTUS replied,  "Life. We discussed life."
The questions continued; Kanye continued not talking, prompting one reporter to ask why he didn't have anything to say.
"I'm just here to take a picture right now," he said, finally cracking a smile and offering a thumbs up gesture.
PEOTUS then grasped Kanye's hand in a parting gesture, leaned in to say something to him, and then patted him on the shoulders. He headed back into the elevator. He was accompanied by his daughter Ivanka.

"Life. We discussed life." Man, that is deep.
