Alphanumeric! The first all-computer-generated 30-minute show, ReBoot, is being well, rebooted. The series ran from 1994 through 2001, and not only was ReBoot animated by computers, it was also set in computers: The series followed a never ending saga of Guardians (think sentient white hat computer programs) as they protected the digital citizens of a city called Mainframe from destruction by defeating users in video games and battling malicious programs like the virus Megabyte.
It was a sort of meta-geek television show, simultaneously poking fun at and celebrating a still emerging digital culture. If you missed out on its run, watching the intro below will give you a pretty good idea for the feel of the original show.
