Elon Musk teases the Tesla ‘D’

Elon Musk is getting ready to show off a new product from Tesla. The teaser is short on details, but according to a tweet from the billionaire investor, the company will be holding an event on Oct. 9 to demo the new offering.

The "D" in question appears to refer to a new model of electric car, possibly. But the use of initials quickly became the subject of some off-color jokes.

Which prompted Musk to follow up, sheepishly:

Now begins the guessing game as to the other letter. My bet's on "V."
