Intelligence Squared presented one of its best debates last night at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia — “Resolved: Individuals and organizations have a constitutional right to unlimited spending on their own political speech.”

Arguing for the motion were Floyd Abrams, legendary First Amendment lawyer; and Nadine Strossen, professor of law at New York Law School (and former president of the ACLU). Arguing against the motion were Burt Neuborne, professor of law at NYU and Founding Legal Director, Brennan Center for Justice; and Zephyr Teachout, associate professor of law at Fordham (and current candidate for governor of New York).
