Rosslyn penthouse sells for $250K over list price 

A penthouse unit in the upscale Waterview condominium building in Rosslyn garnered one of the highest sale price above list price last month in the Washington region, according to Rockville-based multiple-listing service MRIS.

“After five months on the market, two interested parties emerged at the same time and the price was bid up to $3,750,000 from its most recent list price of $3,500,000,” Realtor Rob Carney, vice president of TTR Sotheby’s International Realty, said in an e-mail, referring to Unit 3001. Carney was both the listing agent and the buyer’s agent for the transaction.

The home, at 1111 19th St. North in Arlington on the 30th floor, has dramatic views of all of Washington’s most notable landmarks, including the Washington Monument, the Jefferson Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial, the Capitol, the Kennedy Center and the National Cathedral, as well as views of Roosevelt Island and the Potomac River wrapping around Rosslyn.

New condos coming to Adams Morgan

Want to live in the thick of D.C. nightlife and restaurants? Perseus Realty recently broke ground on the Adamo, a new condominium on the corner of Calvert Street and Adams Mill Road NW in Adams Morgan.

The former Exxon station at 1827 Adams Mill Rd. has been demolished to make room for a 37-unit condo building with retail space on the ground level.
