The Bozzuto Group recently held the grand opening of the long-anticipated Cathedral Commons development, which includes 137 rental apartments and eight upscale townhouses for rent.
The mixed-use development, at 3401 Idaho Ave. NW near the National Cathedral, cost $125 million to build.
It includes 125,000 square feet of retail space with a Giant Food store, a CVS Pharmacy, a Starbucks, a SunTrust Bank, a Solidcore fitness facility, a Wylie Wagg pet store and Barcelona restaurant and wine bar. Several other stores are anticipated to open this summer, including Pure Barre fitness studio, Core 72, a women’s active wear retailer, Washington Ballet, Zengo Cycle, Raku Asian restaurant, the Grilled Oyster Co. seafood restaurant and Le Village Marche, a French-inspired boutique.
Rents for the apartments start at $2,300 a month for a studio. The one-bedroom units rent for $2,600 and the two-bedrooms go for $3,950.
The apartments include open floor plans, dark plank flooring, white quartz counters, white beveled tile back splashes, stainless steel appliances, a washer and dryer and views of the National Cathedral. Loft-style apartments with terraces are also available.
The townhouses, which rent for $8,500 per month, include a deck, a two-car garage, a gas fireplace, white Shaker cabinet, Caesarstone quartz counters and oak flooring.
Amenities for residents of Cathedral Commons include 24/7 concierge services, a monthly calender of wine tastings and other events, lounge areas, a rooftop terrace with city views, a clubroom, a library, a fitness center, a courtyard, garage parking and an onsite Zip Car station.
