Developers at the 33-acre Grosvenor Heights community in Bethesda are adding new single-family houses to their mix of townhouses.

Already construction of townhouses are well underway. Michael Harris Homes is building 20 townhouses in the community, and EYA is building 122 townhouses, including 23 for moderate-income families. They are expected to be complete by the end of the year.

Now EYA and Streetscape Partners have selected Sandy Spring Builders to construct 10 single-family houses there.

Designed by GTM Architects, the single-family houses will have four levels of living space, open floor plans and covered parking for up to four cars. The houses will have some glass walls framing views of adjacent woodlands, elevators and stone terraces accessible from the kitchen and family room. Presales have begun on the single-family houses, which are priced from $1.495 million.

The development is within walking distance of the Grosvenor-Strathmore Metro station, Rock Creek Park, Fleming Park, the Bethesda Trolley Trail and the Shops at Wildwood.
