Two adjacent lots, each with five acres and a brick rambler-style house, are also available for $2 million each. A buyer with deep pockets could purchase all three parcels and the houses for $7.25 million or choose just one parcel.
According to real estate agent Karen Sparks of Keller Williams Realty in Reston, a builder could develop a subdivision of four to eight homes on the land, since zoning laws restrict building more than one unit per two acres in that area.
The mansion, built in 1994, has multiple terraces, patios and balconies, a four-car heated garage and an outdoor entertaining area with a swimming pool, whirlpool tub and kitchen.
The house has five finished levels, five bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, inlaid wood and marble floors, a two-story family room, a recently renovated kitchen, an elevator, four fireplaces with floor-to-ceiling fieldstone surrounds, a sound-absorbing music room, a conference room, game rooms, a roof deck, several wings of bedrooms and five zones of heating and air conditioning.
