With the help of Rockville-based multiple-listing service Bright MLS (formerly MRIS), we compiled a list of some of the most expensive houses for sale in the Washington area.

This month, the most expensive new listings include a contemporary style mansion overlooking Rock Creek Park, a McLean estate along the Potomac River and two modern condos — one in Arlington and the other in Georgetown.
