HGTV has a sweepstakes giving viewers of “House Hunters” an opportunity to win $10,000 by voting on this and other residences. (Shoot & Showcase)

Fans of HGTV’s “House Hunters” and similar programs love to predict which house the shows’ buyers will purchase.

HGTV has similar opportunities to live vicariously, including its current online contest, Ultimate House Hunt 2017, in which viewers can vote in different categories for their favorite house on the various incarnations of “House Hunters” and potentially win $10,000.

Among the eight finalists is the newly renovated townhouse at 119 Princess St. in Old Town Alexandria, Va. The Alexandria property, which is entered in the Living Large in Small Spaces category, recently was sold by the Goodhart Group of McEnearney Associates for $1.049 million.

The 1,800-square-foot townhouse has an open floor plan with high ceilings, a living room with built-in cabinets and a steel-cable railing, a renovated study and updated bathrooms. It also has an open kitchen with quartz counters, stainless-steel appliances, a dramatic backsplash and a long table-sized island to combine counter and dining space. French doors open the living room to the back patio and bring in extra natural light. The house is one block from the waterfront on the Potomac River and has a one-car garage.

The sweepstakes end at 5 p.m. July 18, Eastern. Participants can vote once per day in each category of the contest.
