Robinson Landing will be a high-end mixed-use development that includes 26 townhouses and 70 riverfront condos in Old Town Alexandria. (EYA)

Sales started last month at Robinson Landing, a new waterfront community on the Potomac in Old Town Alexandria.

A former industrial shipping terminal and warehouse site on Union Street between Duke and Wolfe streets is being transformed into a mixed-use development by EYA. When complete, Robinson Landing will include 26 townhouses, 70 riverfront condos, a market and a restaurant with waterfront seating.

The new development incorporates brick, steel and glass into a design that includes both modern and traditional elements to complement the Old Town neighborhood. The existing pier will be converted into public space with seating, day slips for boats and an outdoor lounge. The builder will add a publicly accessible promenade and landscaped park areas.

Located close to the Torpedo Factory and restaurants and shops in Old Town, Robinson Landing continues EYA’s mission to build walkable communities.

Community amenities for residents include concierge services, fitness studio, yoga center, bike shop, lounge, 24-hour staff and pet-grooming spa.

The townhouses have brick fronts and modern interiors with open floor plans, 10-foot-high ceilings and roof terraces. Each has a two-car garage and an optional elevator.

The condos will have floor-to-ceiling windows facing the Potomac, open floor plans and terraces. Each comes with two garage parking spaces.

Buyers will need deep pockets to afford to live along the Potomac. Condos are priced from $1.5 million to $5.5 million, and townhouses are priced from $1.6 million to $2.25 million.

The first townhouses are anticipated to be ready for occupancy in the third quarter of 2018.
