Visiting open houses and model homes, a favorite pastime for mother-daughter bonding between the two main characters in the hit movie “Lady Bird,” may become more enticing for potential home buyers in the Washington region.

Miller & Smith home builders recently launched “The One Visit Experience” to showcase its new home communities, giving visitors opportunities to win prizes.

The events, which take place at several new communities on weekends through early April, go beyond a simple tour of a model home. Potential buyers can test drive a Mini Cooper around each neighborhood and sample food from nearby restaurants. Each visitor will take home a bag with special offers and samples from local businesses curated by Miller & Smith staff at each community.
