Wizards vs. Celtics: Game 3 discussion thread

The Wizards opened the NBA regular season in Cleveland last week, but they  will play only their third game in eight days when they take on the Boston Celtics Wednesday night at TD Garden.

Coach Randy Wittman said the lengthy stretches between games is unusual and has possibly disrupted the team as tries to establish and rhythm and chemistry. But that won’t be a problem for long, with the Wizards set to play four games – and two back-to-back sets – in just six days, beginning on Friday against Milwaukee.

“This is a little bit different than you’re used to and what you’re going to see coming up now, getting into the meat of kind of how the season flows,” Wittman said. “It is what it is. It’s given us some time with injuries and stuff, that we don’t have a lot of games spaced into there early on. But later on, maybe that will be a bonus for us.”

The 0-2 Wizards hope to get their first win of the season tonight when they face the Celtics in  Boston. Washington lost a close game to the Celtics on Saturday. Tonight, Kevin Seraphin expects to attract more attention after scoring 19 points in his debut; Trevor Booker looks forward to playing against his idol, Kevin Garnett; and Jordan Crawford will be available to play after missing practice with a sore left ankle.
