Wizards vs 76ers: Game 44 Discussion thread

After Bradley Beal’s visit with a hand specialist determined that his sore right wrist was actually a sprained ligament, the Wizards decided to rest him on Wednesday as the team took on the Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center. Coach Randy Wittman wouldn’t offer a timetable for when Beal would return.

“Day-to-day, we’ll have to see how it progresses,” he said. “Just a sprain of his right wrist that’s been bothering him.”

With Beal out, the Wizards will field their 16th different starting lineup in Philadelphia. Garrett Temple will get the nod at starting shooting guard, with Wittman opting to keep Jordan Crawford in a reserve role.

“I wanted to keep our bench, with JC and his ability to do what he can do for our team off the bench. Don’t lose any firepower that way,” Wittman said, adding that he won’t have to alter the gameplan with Beal sidelined. “We won’t change our offense at all, what we’re doing. That’ll stay the same, even without Brad there.”
