The exodus to Arizona continues.

Wizards assistant coach Jerry Sichting is leaving the organization to join new coach Jeff Hornacek’s staff with the Phoenix Suns, multiple people with knowledge of the situation have confirmed.

Sichting spent one season in Washington, worked primarily with the guards. He had replaced Gene Banks, who moved from the bench to become a scout last season.

In Phoenix, Sichting is expected to be the lead assistant to Hornacek, who was hired last month. The move will become official by next week, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.

Former director of player personnel Pat Connelly was named assistant general manager in Phoenix last week after spending seven seasons with the Wizards organization. Former Boston Celtics assistant general manager Ryan McDonough was hired to run the Suns last month.

Phoenix radio station KTAR was first to report to move. The station also reported that former Suns player Mark West will be a part of the coaching staff.

In other news, the Wizards will resume their pre-draft workouts on Wednesday with six more prospects: forward Karron Johnson (Shaw), guard Bruce Massey (Middle Tennessee), forward Brock Motum (Washington State), forward Mason Plumlee (Duke), guard Dexter Strickland (North Carolina) and forward Kellen Thornton (Tennessee State).
