Toure’ Murry and Damion James are expected to play for the Washington Wizards in the upcoming Las Vegas summer league, according to people with knowledge of the situation. Both players are familiar faces for the Wizards; James was with the team for training camp and preseason last year, and Murry joined Washington on a 10-day contract in March.

The Wizards cut James, a 6-foot-7 forward, near the end of last year’s preseason. He was one of a few players competing for the 15th spot that Rasual Butler earned. James, 27, then spent most of the season in the D-League.

Murry, 25, had earned a second 10-day contract with the Wizards in March when he hurt his ankle in garbage minutes against the Golden State Warriors. Washington then released the 6-foot-5 combo guard after he appeared in four games for the Wizards and signed Will Bynum.

Other players expected to play for the Wizards’ summer league team include first-round draft pick Kelly Oubre Jr., second-round pick Aaron White, undrafted rookie guard and former Maryland standout Dez Wells, undrafted rookie point guard Traevon Jackson, and veteran combo guard Rodrigue Beaubois.
