Jack Lew’s new signature unveiled

One of the big questions about Jack Lew’s tenure as Treasury secretary — what will his new signature look like on U.S. currency? — has been answered:

The U.S. Treasury tweeted the new signature just after 2 p.m. Lew’s old signature was the subject of intense attention – and even some presidential ribbing – earlier this year.

In nominating Lew for Treasury secretary in January, Obama noted his unusually loopy signature and declared: “Jack assures me that he is going to work to make at least one letter legible in order not to debase our currency should he be confirmed as Secretary of the Treasury.”

There's no exact word when the new signature will actually start appearing on bills.

An early hint of the new signature came a bit earlier this year when he signed the Financial Stability Oversight Council’s annual report.

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner also had to change his signature during his tenure. And Yahoo! allows you to create your own Jack Lew loopy signature.
