Happy Halloween, wonks! You may be familiar with such classic Halloween songs as "Monster Mash" and "Flying Purple People Eater." However, those feel a little dated to us. Our extensive research has shown that there are newer songs capture the holiday just a little . . . better. Here is the Official Wonkblog Ranking of the Best Halloween songs. Spookier than death panels! Scarier than premature fiscal austerity!

No. 5: "Wolf Like Me" by TV On the Radio

No. 4: "Bela Lugosi's Dead" by Bauhaus.

No. 3: "Werewolves of London," by Warren Zevon.

No. 2: "Halloween" by Froggy Fresh.

And the best Halloween song of modern times? Once upon a time, Tracy Jordan, the fictional "30 Rock" version of Tracy Morgan, scored a fictional gold record for his fictional novelty party hit. The song, however, is oh so very real and so very wonderful. Behold, "Werewolf Bar Mitzvah":
