Simon Denyer is The Post’s bureau chief in China. He served previously as bureau chief in India and as a Reuters bureau chief in Washington, India and Pakistan.

Emily Rauhala is a China Correspondent for the Post. She was previously a Beijing-based correspondent for TIME, and an editor at the magazine’s Hong Kong office.



Michael Birnbaum

Michael Birnbaum is The Post’s Brussels bureau chief. He previously served as the bureau chief in Moscow and in Berlin, and was an education reporter.



Sudarsan Raghavan

Sudarsan Raghavan is Cairo’s bureau chief in Egypt. He was previously The Post’s bureau chief in Africa and Afghanistan. He began his career as a foreign correspondent in Africa, and covered the Iraq war as Baghdad bureau chief.



Pamela Constable

Pamela Constable is The Post’s bureau chief in Afghanistan and Pakistan. She previously served as a South Asia bureau chief and most recently covered immigration in the Washington area for several years.



Erin Cunningham

Erin Cunningham is an Istanbul-based correspondent for The Post. She previously covered conflicts in the Middle East and Afghanistan for the Christian Science Monitor, GlobalPost and The National.



William Booth

William Booth is The Post’s Jerusalem bureau chief. He was previously bureau chief in Mexico, Los Angeles and Miami.

Ruth Eglash

Ruth Eglash is a reporter for The Washington Post based in Jerusalem. She was formerly a reporter and senior editor at the Jerusalem Post and freelanced for international media.


Griff Witte

Griff Witte is The Post’s London bureau chief. He previously served as the paper’s deputy foreign editor and as the bureau chief in Kabul, Islamabad and Jerusalem.

Karla Adam

Karla Adam is a reporter in the Washington Post’s London bureau. Before joining the Post in 2006, she worked as a freelancer in London for the New York Times and People magazine.

Joshua Partlow is The Post’s bureau chief in Mexico. He has served previously as the bureau chief in Kabul and as a correspondent in Brazil and Iraq.


Nick Miroff

Nick Miroff is a Latin America correspondent for The Post, roaming from the U.S.-Mexico borderlands to South America’s southern cone. He has been a staff writer since 2006.



David Filipov

David Filipov is the Post’s Moscow bureau chief. He previously served as a multimedia reporter at The Boston Globe, and was the Globe’s Moscow Bureau chief.


Andrew Roth

Andrew Roth is a reporter in The Post’s Moscow bureau. He previously reported on Russia and the former Soviet Union for The New York Times.



Kevin Sieff

Kevin Sieff has been The Post’s bureau chief in Nairobi since 2014. He served previously as he paper’s bureau chief in Kabul, and had covered the U.S. -Mexico border.

Annie Gowen

Annie Gowen is The Post’s India bureau chief. She has reported from Iraq on the continued violence in 2011. She previously covered wealth and poverty for the Post.
