Syria's Internet service appears to have been restored in Damascus and some other areas.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights told the Associated Press that access to the Internet had been restored, saying it was getting dispatches from Damascus, the central cities of Homs and Hama, the northern city of Aleppo and areas along the coast.
