Video: This Syrian rebel doesn’t need hands to fire his Kalashnikov

As if facing the overwhelming firepower of the Syrian armed forces was not enough, activists have uploaded a video that purports to show a rebel firing a rifle despite a physical handicap that might normally hinder one's ability to wage war.

The mechanism, possibly as simple as an object stuck into the trigger guard, forces him to let the rifle hang loose at his side, in the notoriously inaccurate "Rambo" pose.

The video's caption information says the rebel lost his hands during the fighting in Syria but is still committed to his cause. If true, it's difficult to say whether this a man is a symbol of the war's costly perpetuity, of the rebels' bravery or perhaps both.
