ISLAMABAD, Pakistan  Protests in Pakistan continued to swell Tuesday as thousands of Pakistanis held demonstrations in the country's capital, calling for the resignation of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. In a surpise move, Sharif appointed the Pakistani army to secure certain areas of Islamabad on Tuesday. The prime minister is facing dual threats from Imran Khan, the leader of the Movement for Justice party, and firebrand cleric and religious scholar Muhammad Tahir ul-Qadri, who, along with thousands of supporters, are protesting against Sharif.
