A major collection of photojournalism was donated to the prestigious Museum of Art & Photography in Bangalore, India, earlier this year. The gift came from Deepak Puri, Time magazine's esteemed former South Asia bureau manager and photo editor.

Puri's collection features images from more than 30 acclaimed photographers, including James Nachtwey, Sebastião Salgado and Pamela Singh, who gifted prints to Puri throughout his career. (Read more about that here.)

The prints are being exhibited as part of the Delhi Photo Festival; an initial showing was held in Bangalore. "Legacy of Photojournalism: The Deepak Puri Collection" opened today and runs through Nov. 15. The exhibit is part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of Tasveer, an organization that promotes contemporary photography.
